Dorian latest

The National Hurricane Center’s latest bulletin at 5 p.m. today is forecasting that the eye of Tropical Storm Dorian will pass over or near the west and center of Puerto Rico on Wednesday.

The most recent bulletin also issued a tropical storm warning for Vieques and Culebra.

Dorian is located at 15.3 degrees north, longitude 62.5 degrees west, continuing to move in a west, northwest direction at 13 miles per hour. Maximum sustained winds are at 50 miles per hour.

The tropical storm’s winds extend 45 miles from its center.

"A weakening is forecast for the next 24 hours, but Dorian will be close to being a hurricane when it approaches Puerto Rico on Wednesday," according to the report.

Puerto Rico continues to be under a hurricane watch and a tropical storm warning.
