With tourism booming in Puerto Rico, the island received more good news as Frontier Airlines has launched three new direct flights from Miami, Newark and Tampa this week.
The new flights are just in time for the busy Thanksgiving and Christmas in Puerto Rico, which is widely knows as having the longest holiday season in the world.
Frontier, which is based in Denver, now has three direct flights every week from Miami; daily flights from Newark, New Jersey; and four flights a week from Tampa, Florida.
In total, Frontier has launched 22 new flights this from various cities across the United States, including Puerto Rico.
“Frontier’s considerable service expansion this week is another milestone in our tremendous growth story,” said Daniel Shurz, senior vice president of commercial for Frontier Airlines. “We’re especially excited to begin service in Newark, growing our presence in the New York City area and creating new travel opportunities for our customers. In addition, we continue to expand our presence in exciting destinations like Las Vegas, Miami Phoenix, and San Juan,"he said in a statement.
